Spring 2020: Clairvo Project

Lost and Google Maps doesn’t seem to do the trick? With a new take on literally walking you through how to get somewhere, students at UW Madison are in the works of developing an Augmented Reality Navigation platform.  This is a new form of technology in which individuals learn how to use AR more effectively as they are directed to various locations indoors.

Fall 2020: Dairy Project

Seven teams participated in a Dairy Innovation Challenge sponsored by the Dairy Innovation Hub at Uw-Madison in Fall 2020. Students from Uw-Madison and UW-River Falls competed for $11,000 in cash prizes. The winning teams created projects focused on improving the shelf life of dairy products, increasing awareness for milk consumption, and creating sustainable business practices for the dairy industry. All the projects introduced emerging technologies as part of their proposed solutions.

Spring 2021: Petra Project

Petra is looking to combat diabetes, as it has become an international epidemic. Their diagnostic system predicts ulcers in the feet of diabetes patients before breaking through the skin and prioritizes high-risk patients and early intervention, while maintaining a cost 10X lower than existing solutions. Through their technology, Petra can create a new diagnostic modality to transform current standard of care and an opportunity to alleviate enormous financial burden and patient suffering.
